Neat blog. I am a decendant of Moor Russell who fought in the Battle of Bunker Hill and was founder of the state of NH. Anyway, I'm going camping up there at Russell Pond to pay my respects.

I almost forgot to say that for anyone interested in knowing the history of the Russells of England, there was a book written by Jeremiah Holmes Wiffen titled: "Historical memoirs of the house of Russell" that traces their roots back through many prominent Viking raiders all the way back to Norway. I believe the last version of the name was Ragnvaldsson in Norway before settling in Normandy. They then changed the name to Le Rozel after the territory in France that they settled in. After the Norman invasion of England the name was anglicized finally to Russell.

So where is everybody? Thought I'd continue the Russell blog here. I love this blog.

Anyone mention Russell Springs in Kentucky yet?

I'm saving me pennies to go to Scotland, someday soon, then Wales, then England.
