My daddy left home when I was three
And he didn’t leave much to ma and me
Just this old guitar and an empty bottle of booze.
Now, I don’t blame him cause he run and hid
But the meanest thing that he ever did
Was before he left, he went and named me “Sue.”
Well, he must o’ thought that is quite a joke
And it got a lot of laughs from a’ lots of folk,
It seems I had to fight my whole life through.
Some gal would giggle and I’d get red
And some guy’d laugh and I’d bust his head,
I tell ya, life ain’t easy for a boy named “Sue.”
Well, I grew up quick and I grew up mean,
My fist got hard and my wits got keen,
I’d roam from town to town to hide my shame.
But I made a vow to the moon and stars
That I’d search the honky-tonks and bars
And kill that man who gave me that awful name.
I was tired of my lady, we had been together too long.
Like a worn-out recording, of a favorite song.
So while she lay there sleeping, I read the paper in bed.
And in the personals column, there was this letter I read:
“If you like Piña Coladas, and getting caught in the rain.
If you’re not into yoga, if you have half-a-brain.
If you like making love at midnight, in the dunes of the cape.
I’m the lady you’ve looked for, write to me, and escape.”
I didn’t think about my lady, I know that sounds kind of mean.
But me and my old lady, had fallen into the same old dull routine.
So I wrote to the paper, took out a personal ad.
And though I’m nobody’s poet, I thought it wasn’t half-bad.
“Yes, I like Piña Coladas, and getting caught in the rain.
I’m not much into health food, I am into champagne.
I’ve got to meet you by tomorrow noon, and cut through all this red tape.
At a bar called O’Malley’s, where we’ll plan our escape.”
So I waited with high hopes, then she walked in the place.
I knew her smile in an instant, I knew the curve of her face.
It was my own lovely lady, and she said, “Oh, it’s you.”
And we laughed for a moment, and I said, “I never knew…
That you liked Piña Coladas, and getting caught in the rain.
And the feel of the ocean, and the taste of champagne.
If you like making love at midnight, in the dunes of the cape.
You’re the love that I’ve looked for, come with me, and escape.
If you like Piña Coladas, and getting caught in the rain.
If you’re not into yoga, if you have half-a-brain.
If you like making love at midnight, in the dunes of the cape.
You’re the love that I’ve looked for, come with me, and escape.”
About Piña Colada: A cocktail from Puerto Rico meaning “strained pineapple” in Spannish (piña: pineapple, colada: strained). It’s a sweet, rum-based drink made with rum, coconut cream, and pineapple juice, usually served either blended or shaken with ice.

Trance is the most sublime, divine, advanced music genre known to man, representing a quantum leap in artistic creativity analogous to the development of the frontal lobe in the human brain. Having an IQ below 130 renders one incapable of appreciating, let alone enjoying trance. Being a connoisseur of trance bespeaks of extremely high intelligence and impeccable level of personal sophistication. On the other hand, those who despise trance can uniformly be characterised as primitive troglodytes, closer to ape than man.
Trance can make you cry, make you shout, make you cheer, and make you celebrate absolutely nothing of substance except pure ecstatic bliss.

In the history of the human race
Of all the inspirations for the separation of man from his true tribal culture
Of all the inspirations for the acts of violence from one man onto another
From one nation onto another, from one oppressor onto the oppressed
There is no more guilty party and inspiration than those books known
As the Holy Bible, the Koran, and the Bagavad Gita to spread separation of mankind
The Bible is bullshit, the Koran is a lie
The Bagavad Gita did not fall from the sky
These are the books that were written by men
They’ve caused wars, now follow if you can
They took away our love and gave us fear
Tried to make us hate the one who put us here
Then they took our sacred songs and made them wrong
Then they took away our prayers and gave us theirs
The Bible is bullshit, the Koran is a lie
The Bagavad Gita did not fall from the sky
These are the books that are written by men
They’ve caused wars, now follow if you can
First they created sin so they could win
Then they built the cages they could put us in
Then they took away our tribes and gave us jail
Then they took away the Earth and gave us hell
The Bible is bullshit, the Koran is a lie
The Bagavad Gita did not fall from the sky
These are the books that are written by men
They’ve caused wars, now follow if you can
It’s time for you to love one another
It’s time for you to recognize your brother
It’s time for us to stop killing our mother
It’s time for us to care for each other
I’m just the pieces of the man I used to be
Too many bitter tears are raining down on me
I’m far away from home
And I’ve been facing this alone
For much too long
I feel like no-one ever told the truth to me
About growing up and what a struggle it would be
In my tangled state of mind
Ive been looking back to find
Where I went wrong.
Too much love will kill you
If you can’t make up your mind
Torn between the lover
And the love you leave behind
You’re headed for disaster
Cause you never read the signs
Too much love will kill you
Every time…
What’s your favourite music genre? For me it’s electronic dance music, mostly trance and it’s sub-genres. I listen to an insane amount of trance and love them so much that I renamed my web hosting business to Trance Host earlier this year.
The tag cloud that you’re seeing below was created from over 35,000 songs that I’ve listened to in the last 5 years, tracked by the awesome Last.fm.
The female vocalists and the pop tag that you’re seeing is primarily because of Queen of Pop, Madonna. I’m a huge fan of her and I used to listen to her songs for months after months without a break or even getting bored. Madonna’s “Crazy for You” is my all time favourite song, I’ve listened to it for like gazillion of times! Other singers consisting the female vocalists tag are Enya, Carpenters, Shakira, Cascada, Ayumi Hamasaki and more.
My favourite trance DJs and electronic music producers are Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, Aly & Filla, Robert Miles, Paul van Dyke, Tiesto, ATB, Robert Shah, and Deep Forest. I don’t listen to house and hardstyle, they are too slow and too fast for me respective orders.
A new genre that I’ve been listening to a lot this year is Eurodance, mostly on my favourite online radio station Digitally Imported. Now that 2010 is almost over, let’s see if my taste changes and if I start listening to new genres over the next few years!
