I’ve finally made the move — migrated this blog from Nuclues to WordPress.
The database migration went smooth (though I had to use some tricks), but I’ve now to fix the image URLs manually and also work on modifying the template. Over the next few days I guess, depending on when I’ve time in hand.
Adios to Nucleus, my faithful blog engine for 3½ years.

According to a Technorati tool named “Bloglebrity“, I’m classified as a “D” listed blogger. According to this tool, this blog is categorised under the “Low Authority Group”, which means:
“The average blog age (the number of days that the blog has been in existence) is about 228 days, which shows a real commitment to blogging. However, bloggers of this type average only 12 posts per month, meaning that their posting habits are generally dedicated but infrequent.”
Update on December 17:

I got promoted to the “Middle Authority Group”, which means:
“This contrasts somewhat with the second group, which enjoys an average age not much older than the first at 260 days and which posts 50% more frequently than the first. There is a clear correlation between posting volume and Technorati authority ranking.”

In layman’s terms, this means:
“I’ve been blogging for 3-6 months. I own 2 or more domains that are updated regularly. I maintain and manage my blog with my own home-grown content management system. I don’t have many links on my site and/or my links are primarily non-blog related. I check my stats occasionally, mostly to discover new blogs that are linking to mine. I don’t link to any of the A-list blogs (Megnut, Kottke, Robot Wisdom, etc.)… if I ever want to visit their site, I’ll just follow a link from someone else’s blog. I don’t post that frequently. In fact, I’m lucky if I manage to post 2 or 3 new entries a week. I blog from either home or work, but only after my work is done and when I get some free time. Nearly all the topics I blog are personal experiences or original writing that can’t be found elsewhere on the web. I might flirt a little with other bloggers, but anything beyond that is out of the question. I have posted quite a few photos of myself, but I was fully clothed in them all, thankyouverymuch. I’ve taken a few surveys or participated in a few memes, but there seem to be so many of them I have to pick and choose. There are a few select people I’ve specifically kept in the dark about my blogging but, for the most part, most people know about it or could easily find it via a web search.”

You can get your own Blogger Code from here.
