I’ve been looking forward to get myself a SLR for over a year now, and I finally got one today! It’s a Canon EOS 450D, the one I wanted to buy since it was released last year. It came with the EF-S 18-55mm IS lens, which is good enough to start with. I also bought an original Canon bag and a Canon vest which has “EOS Professional”. Pretty cool!

Here are the basic features of the camera:

• 12.2 Megapixel CMOS sensor
• Canon EOS Integrated Cleaning System
• 3.5 frames per second
• 3.0″ TFT LCD
• Live View shooting
• 9-point wide-area AF system with f/2.8 cross-type center point
• DIGIC III image processor
• Fully compatible with all Canon EF and EF-S lenses and EX-series Speedlites

To note, this camera is known as “Digital Rebel XSi” in US market, and “Kiss X2 Digital” in Japan.

I’ve been using Flickr for one and half year, and right now I’m completely hooked to it. I had a hard time to get rid of my Facebook addiction, but seems like giving up Flickr wouldn’t be easy. But hey, I don’t need to do so, cause it’s helping me to improve my photography skills and acquire more knowledge on photo-taking techniques by seeing the works for renowned photographers from around the world. So yay for me!

Long live Flickr!

I was looking forward to get myself a Flickr Pro account for the last couple of weeks, and today Omi bhai gave me a pleasant surprise by gifting me one.

I can now store unlimited pictures, create unlimited sets and collections, archive high-resolution images, replace photos, access visitor statistics, and have much more fun! Woohoo!

My friend’s younger sister who’s 24 and has a 1-year old baby girl divorced her husband and married her best friend’s husband who also has a 1-year old baby girl. How pathetic!

Anjalin sent me the scanned photograph of our class 4′s yearbook picture of Dhanmondi Tutorial and I’m so glad to get it. We were so little back then! Anjalin says we look like tiktikis!
