Walking 100km in 4 Weeks!

I walked every single day in the last 4 weeks and reached my personal goal of walking for 100km! I aimed for an average of 3.75km per day, keeping my pace between 10 to 11 minutes per kilometers. Just to clarify, the distance covered do not include commutes and casual walks, they were all exclusive workout activities.

Walks during early morning were enjoyable, though the ones in evening weren’t that much due to inconsiderate pedestrians and reckless drivers and bikers.

I used Samsung Galaxy Watch and Strava to track the activities. Listened to music using Haylou GT3 TWS that I particularly purchased just for making the walking sessions more enjoyable. Kept my pockets light, only carried key ring, hand sanitizer, TWS charging box and paper napkin. Alternated between two pairs of Bata Power sneakers with memory foam insoles. Carried a small bottle of water only on the first week.

  • Congratulations on achieving your goal before the deadline! It is Amazing! You didn’t miss walking even for a single day. I find myself motivated after seeing your walking activities. Maybe I’ll start someday (sigh!). A question has arisen in my mind while reading your achievement. Did you wear a mask? You also didn’t mention how much do you want to walk next month.

  • Thank you sir! Brisk walking is easiest way to burn calories, much easier than running. I did wear mask, even on empty streets when nobody was around just to be safe. I probably won’t be walking this much next month, but I’ll start cycling again. It burns 50% more calories than walking for the same duration. Let’s see how it goes!
